NDUK primarily recruits members and leaders who are Nigerian-born doctors and is divided into regional groups. Each regional group has appointed clinical and leadership representatives who promote professional and social networking activities and offer support to members in various areas. This unique blend of a hierarchical leadership structure with a flatter structure allows for more sub-division and regional autonomy within the organization.
